Southwest to Acquire AirTran Airlines

So, I'm excited. Southwest airlines has announced a plan to acquire AirTran airlines for $1.4 billion. This means that Southwest Airlines will now have access to new markets like Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson Airport and further access into Boston's General Edward Lawrence Logan airport and the district's Ronald Reagan National Airport. The airline plans to maintain its low prices while expanding to more airports and markets. I'm excited because I love Southwest; I try not to fly any other airline and now I can fly to all the cities that I love for Southwest's low fares! In a press release, Southwest representative said that the entire acquisition could take up to two years because both executive boards have to approve before any major changes can be made. I hope everything goes smoothly because I have been waiting for a long for a development like this. So many times I have wanted to go to Atlanta to visit family but I couldn't afford it because all the other airlines are at least $100 more than Southwest. Also, Southwest is looking to rent space in Newark's Liberty International so I can go see my family there too! Hopefully, both will be in full effect as soon as possible.
