#AugustWritingChallenge - Change - Day 6

Change and I get along about as much as oil and water. I have always been a creature of habit I am happiest when I have an established routine and stick to it. However, I have reached a point in my life where change is inevitable.
I finished school, got a new job, and moved to a new house all in less than three months. It was almost more than I could take. I gave myself migraines attempting to restructure my budgets and commutes. Not to mention, the sheer act of locating a place to live within my microscopic budget and actually moving my stuff. It was just a lot.

Now that I am settling in this new post graduate life, I'm realizing that fighting change is a waste of my efforts. I'm also realizing that change is not all bad. My new job as an editorial assistant at Forbes Magazine is awesome. I might actually be working on a story soon on travel taxes.

My new place is small and I have no furniture and thus, no storage space but that can easily be fixed with time. The neighborhood is great. I'm still near a Target, which makes me VERY happy.

I'm still a long way from being as stable as I would like but I think I'll manage.

  1. You go girl. There is nothing wrong with having no furniture or storage space. (Starting off anyways Lol) This change seems to be good. Sometimes change helps us acquire new habits, qualities, and ways of doing things. Good to hear you're at Forbes. I love that magazine. Good Luck
