Thumbing Through: Marie Claire Magazine

So as a journalism major, I am often encouraged by my professors to read and read often. Because of who I am, often, a lean for the glossy, shiny pages of a magazine. I first came across Marie Claire in December when Emma Watson was their cover girl.

Now, I'm not sure if you know how I feel about Emma Watson so let me explain. Miss Watson plays the infamous Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, which by the way, will conclude with The Deathly Hallows Part 2 this July. Anyway, so I've been watching Emma in movies for about a decade. I love her! So, any magazine with her on the cover is good with me.

Once I actually read the magazine, I realized it was really good. There's a great staple called Big Girl in a Skinny World which is written by Ashley Falcon. She gives excellent fashion advice for those of us who lean on the "plus size" side. They always have amazing fashion and makeup spreads. I do not care for their Love/Sex section but that may just be because I'm a prude.

This month there are four different covers dedicated to the ladies of the TV phenomenon, Glee. The girls look great in their blue dresses, each sharing their story of how they became a cast member on Glee.
