Today I embark on the journey to pass JOUR 202: Reporting and Writing.

Immediately after new students enter the John H. Johnson School of Communications at Howard University, they begin to hear the horror stories about the class Reporting and Writing and its professor, Dr. Lawrence Kaggwa. As a second semester print journalism student the time has come for me to put childish things behind me.

As terrified as I am, and believe me I'm terrified, I will not be a punk. I will do the best I can and I will make it through this class. . I will do adequate reporting on my beat and write an article a week for the next fifteen weeks. I want to write quality articles, earn an "A" and not have any panic attacks.

I want to be a real journalist; I want to be MADE.
